FAQ:

How much do you charge?

When you schedule, we'll decide how much time would be optimal for achieving your specific goals for the session. Then you'll pay $1 per minute. Twenty minutes = $20. Sixty minutes = $60. I accept cash, check, Venmo, and PayPal.

What about gratuity?

At a spa, gratuity is typically 15% to 20% of the cost of the service. At a physical therapy clinic there is no gratuity. At the Massage Garage gratuity is not expected, but will be gratefully accepted.

Do you take insurance?

I do not bill insurance. With licenses to practice Athletic Training and Massage Therapy in Colorado, some insurance companies will cover my services. I will maintain medical records of your visits if you'd like to submit receipts and records to your insurance company for reimbursement.

What will a session include?

As an Athletic Trainer I can evaluate, recommend treatment, and advise rehabilitation activities for orthopedic injuries. As a massage therapist I will target trigger points, scar tissue, fascial adhesions, and other soft tissue restrictions. The session is yours, so you can dictate how much time we should spend on each target area, or you can request a full-body massage for stress relief and relaxation.

What should I wear during a massage?

Nothing. You will be draped and covered with sheets and a comforter throughout the session. Most people receiving massage do not wear underwear, but if you're more comfortable in them, please feel free. Bras will get in the way of back and shoulder work, so don't wear a bra.

Where is the Massage Garage?

I operate the Massage Garage out of the finished basement in my home in Longmont, Colorado. It's an inviting, warm, comfortable space. Once we schedule an appointment, I'll send you directions to the house. You might be greeted at the front door by two Goldendoodles. If you're allergic to dogs, please be advised.

How can I schedule?

What To Expect:

My background is with injured athletes, as well as with patients in physical therapy clinics. My focus is on restoring function and achieving therapeutic outcomes. While I *can* perform a soothing, stress-relieving massage that could lull you to sleep, the Massage Garage is ideal for those who wish to target trigger points, loosen scar tissue, release myofascial adhesions, reduce chronic pain, or just "get the kinks out." You might feel great on the table, or you might wince from the discomfort of deep tissue work or myofascial release. But you'll almost certainly feel better getting out of bed the morning after your visit to the Massage Garage than you did the morning before.
